Letters of Recommendation

If you are or have been one of my undergraduate or graduate students I am always happy to write you a letter of recommendation. I ask that you...

• Give me at least one week before the deadline

• Tell me what you need the letter for (e.g., law school, internship, job application)

• Remind me what class(es) you took with me

• Include your most up to date resume

• Tell me if you got hired/admitted/etc.! I like hearing good news.

I can write a better letter the more we've interacted, but don't hesitate to reach out if we only had limited interactions. I know from personal experience that it is difficult to get letters of recommendation, especially if you're a first generation student. Writing letters is part of my job and I am more than happy to help my students advance their careers.
