Michelangelo Landgrave is an Assistant Professor at the Harry S. Truman School of Government and Public Affairs at the University of Missouri. He specializes in state and local politics, legislative studies and race, ethnicity & immigration politics. 

Before joining the University of Missouri, he was a postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University's Department of Politics and the Center for the Study of Democratic Politics. He was also previously an associate fellow at the US Federal Government's Office of Evaluation Sciences.

He earned a PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside, and a Master's degree in Economics from California State University, Long Beach. His peer reviewed research has appeared or is forthcoming in Political Analysis, Legislative Studies Quarterly, and the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, among other top outlets.

His graduate study was funded through a joint predoctoral fellowship with the Mexican National Council of Science and Technology and the University of California Institute for Mexico and the United States. He is an alumni of the American Political Science Association minority fellowship (Spring 2018).
