Hello! My name is Michelangelo Landgrave (he/him/él). I'm an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. I serve as the lab director for the Research on Accountability, Civics, and Equity Lab. I specialize in state and local politics, legislative studies, and immigration politics.

I've previously held appointments at Princeton University, the U.S. Federal Government's Office of Evaluation Sciences, and the University of Missouri. I earned my PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside, and a Master's degree in Economics from California State University, Long Beach. My peer reviewed research has appeared or is forthcoming in Political Analysis, Legislative Studies Quarterly, the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, and other top outlets.

My graduate study was funded through a joint fellowship with the Mexican National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the University of California Institute for Mexico and the United States (UCMEXUS). I'm an alumni of the American Political Science Association's minority fellowship (Spring 2018).

A note to prospective graduate students: PhD admissions in the US are handled through a committee. As an individual faculty member I don't have influence over PhD admissions. Good luck with admissions!
